We're a husband-and-wife team based in Honolulu. Like Day One is named after the feeling we want you to have when we pack up: your sofa, your rug, your carpet — like day one.
Why we started
Before Like Day One, we kept hearing the same stories from friends in Kakaako and Kailua: a crew showed up late, the price doubled at the door, and the sofa was still damp two days later. Nobody explained what they were doing or why.
We thought upholstery deserved better — especially here, where humidity, salt air and sand make fabric work harder than anywhere on the mainland. So we trained on fabric types and cleaning codes, invested in professional extraction and drying equipment, and built the business around three promises: test first, price first, show the proof.
Who you'll meet
Vitor runs the equipment and the tough jobs: pet urine, old sectionals, the rug nobody else would touch. Fabi handles fabric assessment, protection and every conversation about what's realistic. On most jobs, you'll meet both of us.
We're not a franchise and we don't subcontract. When you call, one of us answers. When something isn't right, one of us fixes it.

Every fabric gets a hidden-spot test and a cleaning-code check before any product touches it.

Flat quote from a photo, confirmed at the door before we start. The quote is the invoice.

If a spot reappears within 7 days, we return and re-treat it free. Protection has a 12-month touch-up guarantee.
