Dining chair and armchair cleaning in Honolulu
Years of dinners, spills and sticky hands, cleaned out of every seat. Priced per chair, done in one visit.
Dining chair cleaning in Honolulu starts at $35 per upholstered seat with Like Day One, and armchairs start at $89. We pre-treat food and oil stains, extract each seat, and most chairs are ready to use in a few hours.
Dining chairs get a hard life. Sauce, juice, sunscreen hands and the same seat every night. Upholstered seats soak it all in, and the stains darken over time. Our dining chair cleaning in Honolulu lifts that buildup from the fabric and the foam beneath it, one chair at a time.
We also clean accent chairs, armchairs, recliners, office chairs and barstools. Vitor & Fabi check the fabric and the frame first, protect wood and metal finishes, and give you a per-chair price up front. A set of six or eight chairs usually takes about an hour.
Chairs are often part of a bigger job. Add them to a sofa cleaning visit, or see how we handle every fabric in the upholstery cleaning guide.

Why dining chairs stain so badly
A dining seat sees food, drinks and bare legs every day, but it is rarely cleaned. Grease and sauces bond with the fibers, and oils from hands darken the top of the seat back. In humid Oahu homes, those stains attract more dust and turn gray or brown over time.
Light-colored linen and cotton seats are the most common problem we see in Kahala and Kaimuki homes with open-plan kitchens. Families in Manoa with small kids often book us once a year just for the dining set. Most food stains release well. Old red wine, turmeric or dye transfer from dark clothes may lighten but not fully disappear, and we tell you that before we begin.
Fabric codes, frames and thin foam
Chair seats are thin, so they need less water than a sofa. Too much moisture can soak into the foam or the wood base below it. We read the cleaning code first: W and WS fabrics get low-moisture extraction, S fabrics get a dry solvent method, and X fabrics are vacuum only.
We also protect the frame. Wood, rattan and metal can spot or rust if cleaning solution drips on them, so we cover and wipe as we go. Leather and faux-leather seats are wiped and conditioned, not extracted. Most chairs are dry in a few hours with the AC on or windows open for the trade winds.
Between cleanings, a few habits help. Vacuum the seats every couple of weeks to pull crumbs out of the seams. Blot spills right away with a clean white cloth and cool water, and never rub, which spreads the stain and frays the fibers. Skip household sprays with bleach or strong degreasers, since they can leave rings or pull color from the fabric.
The best add-on for dining chairs
If one piece of furniture needs protection, it is a dining chair. Our fabric protection repels spills and makes cleanup easier, so a dropped spoon of sauce wipes up instead of setting in. It buys you time to wipe. It costs $39 per chair. See all rates on our pricing page. Need a matching bench or ottoman done too? Add headboard and ottoman cleaning.
What clients say about our chairs & dining chairs work
Chairs & dining chairs: questions, answered
Still unsure? Text us a photo and ask — a real person answers.
How much does dining chair cleaning cost?
Upholstered dining chair seats start at $35 each. Fully upholstered chairs with padded backs and armchairs start at $89. We confirm the total for your set from a photo before the visit, and chairs can be added to any sofa or sectional job without a separate trip.
Is there a minimum number of chairs?
We usually combine chairs with another service or book a set of four or more. If you only have one or two chairs, send us a photo and we will tell you the best option, which is often adding them to a sofa or mattress visit on the same day.
Can you clean chairs with wood or rattan frames?
Yes. We clean the fabric and protect the frame by covering it and wiping away any drips right away. We use low moisture so nothing soaks into the wood base. If the finish is already damaged or loose, we will point it out before we start.
How long do chairs take to dry?
Dining chair seats are thin, so most are dry in two to four hours. Thicker armchairs follow the same timing as sofas, around four to six hours. Running the AC or opening windows for a cross-breeze speeds things up, especially on humid days in Honolulu.
Do you clean office chairs and barstools?
Yes. Upholstered office chairs, barstools and accent chairs are cleaned the same way as dining chairs, priced by size. Mesh office chairs are vacuumed and spot-cleaned. Tell us what you have and send a photo, and we will give you a flat price before booking.
